Revision [1506]
This is an old revision of HowToUsePuppy made by coolpup on 2009-09-26 00:13:36.
To be able to use Puppy either:
- Create a LiveCD/DVD,
or
- Perform either a frugal or full installation (which involves)
- installing the Puppy Linux operating system
- installing a boot loader
Recommended course of action
- As you become more confident you may later decide to perform an installation. Start with a frugal installation. At a later date you may perform a full installation. You will need the Puppy Linux LiveCD/DVD created earlier so as to install a boot loader. Without a boot loader one does not have an operating system. If your machine does not have an optical disc drive, start off by using someone else's.
