======Pupplet======
Un **pupplet** o **puplet** es una distribución derivada de Puppy Linux. Los pupplets tienen modificaciones que no suelen ser lo predeterminado en la versión original en la que se basan, son ediciones personalizadas a gusto de un segmento de usuarios u optimizadas para cierto tipo de hardware o de tareas, por ejemplo, pueden tener un ambiente de escritorio distinto, un núcleo (kernel) más nuevo o más viejo, una selección de programas diferente, un idioma predeterminado que no sea inglés, etc.
Existen dos métodos de creación de puplets, la remasterización y //Woof//. La remasterización crea un archivo ISO con todas las modificaciones del usuario, que se puede guardar o grabar directamente en CD/DVD. Todas las versiones de Puppy vienen con la herramienta remasterpup, que es la utilizada para este proceso. //Woof// es el sistema de creación de archivos ISO de Puppy Linux utilizado para las versiones originales y para muchos pupplets, pero es una herramienta más compleja, permitiendo incluso construir un derivado de Puppy muy diferente del original, no es lo recomendado para principiantes. Para que el nuevo puplet sea compatible con los paquetes de idioma existentes, debe usarse Woof2 o la versión más reciente (a partir de Woof2 hasta se puede crear un puplet que tenga predeterminado un idioma distinto del inglés).
