e2fsprogs create, read and write ext2, ext3 and ext4 file systems

Verify installed version by entering into the command-line interface:
tune2fs

Dependencies: bzip2, gettext, grep, tar

./configure CFLAGS="-mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}" --prefix=/ --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var && make && make check && make install

Execute file system automatic repair on an unmounted partition by entering into the command-line interface, e.g. for partition sdb1:
e2fsck -p /dev/sdb1
