htop

htop is a tool for a monitoring the cpu usage of applications and system processes. The tool can also be used to terminate processes.

It can be run from the puppymenu, or from the terminal.

Installation
htop is built into most Puppies.

Install an appropriate software package:


Configure
./configure CFLAGS="-mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}" --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var 
--build=i686-pc-linux-gnu --enable-unicode


Advantages
Uses less resources than LXTask.
Ability to set process 'nice' priority.
