Change settings between different Puppy versions
Try booting your target version from CD, create a small save file
Reboot with 'puppy pfix=ram' as your boot option
Delete the small save file, (remember the name)
Copy your original save file giving it the name of the new save file..
Boot with the newly copied save file...
